SPS Security, part of the SPS Group, is proud to announce the delivery of a new fully electric car to its mobile patrol fleet.
This week sees the arrival of the Vauxhall Corsa-e to the SPS Security team. This is in addition to a hybrid car that the team use and is part of its ongoing efforts to go fully green.
James Smedley, SPS Group Finance Director, commented: “We are delighted to have brought this new electric car on-stream for our security patrols. We are fully committed to the move to electric across the Group, with two managers already driving electric cars and three members of the management team driving hybrids.
“This new Corsa-e will be used by the security teams across Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire, serving various sites and clients.”
For more than 2 decades, the SPS Security mobile patrol fleet, run by a team of highly trained officers in marked vehicles, patrol and protect assignments at regular intervals across the county.
The patrols respond to all alarm activations and await the arrival of the alarm engineer or emergency services. They provide internal and external patrols of premises, a lockdown or open-up facility, or just the ‘comfort factor’ – checking on the security of lone workers. The teams also deal with property check and meter readings on tenanted and vacant properties. Working 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, mobile patrols are carried out as frequently as required and each patrol is recorded using a comprehensive patrol management system allowing real-time data reporting through an online portal to give full transparency on the service it delivers.
The SPS Group is run from its head offices in Neptune Street, Hull and employs more than 1,000 staff, offering a single provider solution for cleaning, security, technical and training services.
